   Worship

Worship Commission

The Worship Commission helps the Rector select appropriate liturgy for the church year and helps coordinate the activities of the worship support groups discussed below.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild helps to provide a serene and inviting worship environment for those attending our services. Guild members buy and prepare the sacraments, set the altar, maintain altar linen, and provide flower arrangements for all our services.

They also decorate the church for special occasions like Christmas and Easter.

Adults' Choir

Music enhances and enlivens our worship life. Both choirs use a variety of accompanying instruments, including organ, piano, synthesizer and percussion.

The Adults' Choir sings both traditional and contemporary music at 10 a.m. services all year and at special events like Christmas Eve.

Acolytes

Members of our Acolyte Guild (9-years old and up) play an important part in our Sunday Worship services. The word "acolyte" means "one who helps".

Acolytes light the candles, help set the altar for communion, present the alms basin during the offertory, and assist with ablution. Serving as an acolyte is a great way for our younger members to learn about the church's ritual and liturgy, and feel they are a part of them.
