   Take a Tour: Garden Columbarium

In 2003, we constructed a columbarium to house the cremated remains (ashes) of parishioners and family members. The ashes are placed in niches in a small stone wall. The wall is the focal point of a surrounding garden. The garden site is small (3,600 sq ft) and intimate while still affording splendid long-range views of the hillside to the northeast. In addition to the niche wall, the garden has flagstone paths, a central grassed area, and plantings along the garden periphery. A water sculpture provides an air of freshness and tranquility.

The columbarium is a place of great spiritual connection. Parishioners can gratefully remember departed family members there. It is a gathering place for generations of St. Anselm's families, readily accessible, and of great significance to many.
