Christian Education and Formation

                                                    CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND FORMATION

Our Mission

The mission of the Christian Education and Formation Commission is to manage the adult education programs at St. Anselm’s and to provide parishioners with opportunities to enrich their spiritual lives.   In light of St. Paul’s advice in his letter to the Ephesians, St. Anselm’s parish offers many kinds of experiences that “equip the saints for ministry.” We explore the meaning of Christianity, the Christian movement, world religions, and the role of the Anglican Church in all these realms from both historic and contemporary perspectives.

We also work to examine ourselves as seeking people who have many different gifts, and who need different kinds of educational and formative experiences to grow to our full potential.  Using one-time events or series that employ seminars, discussion, literature, media, and/or creative expression, we strive to examine these subjects, and deepen our spiritual experience beyond Sunday services.
