Bible Study

Contemporary Approach to the Bible

This study group meets every Monday at 11 AM in Jackson Hall. Participants often bring a lunch.  There are no class fees but participants buy their own literature.  Scholarships are available to those who cannot afford the books.

Members focus on deepening their grasp of scripture by exploring contemporary critical scholarship that provides new insights into biblical interpretation. All are encouraged to share their ideas and insights.

The group is currently reading St. Paul’s Letters to the Corinthians from the New testament Commentary by M. Eugene Boring and Fred B. Craddock.

We may form an evening Bible Study group if there is enough interest. If you would like to provide input to this idea, or want more information about the current daytime class, please contact Avon Wilson or  click here to send her an e-mail message.
